This release brings a good number of bug fixes across the board, making the extension noticeably more stable overall. Here’s what’s new:
CORE Recommender removed
As announced on 26 April, the CORE Recommender feature has now been removed. It was rarely used in practice, and had recently stopped returning results reliably, so it was time to let it go.
Updated OpenCitations logo
We’ve updated the OpenCitations logo to reflect their new corporate design — congrats to the OpenCitations.net team on the fresh look! 🎉
iOS: OpenAlex API Key support
The iOS app now properly supports API Keys for OpenAlex.org (see the OpenAlex authentication docs for details). You can either use the shared key, or pop into Settings and enter your own — your choice!
2026-05-09 Update: the iOS & iPadOS Apps are not yet available in the App Store. Working on it!
iOS: Settings navigation fix
Fixed an annoying bug where navigating to Settings would fail if you tapped it very shortly after launching the app. That should be smooth sailing now.
